Additional Information

By taking the Liangshuijing section at the Yanshan County Town of Yunnan Province for stratotype, in 1991 Chen Gengbao recommended that the Yanshan Fm would represent a segment of micritic bio-limestone occurring between the Sphaerosch wagerina globata zone and the Misellina zone. Its connotation is concordant basically with that of the Funing Fm, all of which belong to such a kind of segment of strata, which has been bounded by biostratigraphic content, and is short of basic salient features of lithostratigraphic units. In the particular lexicon, the Funing Fm and the Yanshan Fm have been regarded as parts of the Houziguan Limestone.
